Your health, our care

Triskelion, with its headquarters and testing labs based in Utrecht, the Netherlands is a provider of value-added tests and compliance consultancy to the chemical, pharma, food and feed industry worldwide. It offers high-tech solutions for research into the safety of food, medicines and chemicals – a knowledge-intensive, highly regulated business with high margins.

The ambition is to grow internationally and become a European market leader in the high-end, niche TIC business. Triskelion wants to double the business through organic growth and triple through M&A activities.

Currently Triskelion has 75+ employees with around half lab analysts and the rest comprising of experts, project managers, business developers and management.

To further support its expansion, Triskelion needs to

  • Add more focus to its strategy and services
  • Strengthen the commercial capabilities and mindset
  • Structure and further professionalise the internal organisation

In order to facilitate the expansion, gaining the right insight in the business to drive the growth and performance become more and more important. That’s why Triskelion is looking to strengthen the finance team with a Controller.

Vacancy: Controller

He/she will ensure the integrity of the financial accounts, helps resolve accounting challenges and helps scale the financial processes. In addition, he/she is expected to further setup business controlling within Triskelion. He/she is expected to be the sparring partner for the 4 Business Unit Managers and will drive the budgeting and year plan development, target setting, monthly reporting to the investor and (further) develop a KPI framework with financial and BI dashboards. In this role he/she will report to the Manager Financial Control.

The Controller will work closely with the Manager Financial Control to bring internal controls, accounting, consolidation and reporting to the next level. He/she is – for example – responsible for setting up project controlling and subsequently monitoring, ensuring an accurate reflection in the financial administration. Considering that Triskelion is a scale-up, a hands-on mentality is key for all team members. Where necessary, the Controller will also take on ad hoc reporting tasks and administration work to support the team when needed.

“Working at a scale-up in a PE-setting is not for everyone. On the one hand, there’s a high level of unpredictability, some processes that still need to be established/improved while business insight is required in very little time. On the other hand, we’ve got the financial backing and a very professional investor with high expectations. It’s a balancing act and a unique learning experience. And when your hard work starts to pay off, the career opportunities are tremendous.” – Ivo Verlinden, CFO

The ideal candidate for this role has 3-5 years of experience in Finance, preferably with big-5 experience, while still in an upward curve in his or her career. The Controller should expect plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth, making this role ideal for a high performer with great ambitions and leadership potential.
