Your field

In the business unit Analytical Solutions we offer consultancy services which are strongly supported by specialized labwork. One focus area in this unit is Food Contact Materials (FCM). Food contact materials have to comply with a variety of regulations. Based on broad analytical experience and thorough knowledge of relevant legislations, our team provides the expertise and capabilities to test and approve food contact materials. We also compile and submit registration dossiers for new components. As trusted third party, we have access to all relevant information in the FCM production chain.

Your task

As Business Development Manager, you are responsible for both global key accounts, as well as mid-size customers and prospects, based in North-Western Europe. As such, you are responsible for initiating, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the organization of the customer, such that customer needs are well understood, and you have access to the right decisionmakers. In close cooperation with our analytical experts, you develop the proposals for studies and projects that match these needs, and you set the applicable commercial conditions. You perform the proposal follow-up, including negotiation, deal closure, and evaluation. You are responsible for identifying opportunities for follow-up and additional work, on basis of customer insights and market & technological trends.

Your qualities

  • Our ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit, analytical power, a winning mentality, and is a relationship builder.
  • With your 5-10 yrs of experience in B2B sales, you are a valued sparring partner for customers and colleagues.
  • Via your network in the food contact material world, you have valuable insight in regulatory and market developments and you know how to translate these insights in potential customer needs, new markets and relevant marketing activities.
  • You have an affinity with life-sciences and technology, and hold a master’s degree
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch, both in writing and verball
